I am a Geologist and graduated from the University of Derby in 1993 with a degree in Geology & Geography.

I then worked in Oil Industry as a logging Geologist on offshore rigs and platforms mostly in North Sea. Also exciting work in AUSTRALIAS Outback on a land rig site, offshore Republic of Congo, AFRICA and the FALKLAND ISLANDS.

I love the great outdoors and have hiked /climbed most fells, hills & most of the high mountains here in Britain. I have also hiked/climbed in Iceland, Sweden, Norway, France, Italy, South Spain and Switzerlands High Alps. I have also climbed and explored some active volcanoes, most in Iceland and experienced the 2010 lava eruption.

I develop and present my own amazing workshops with my own spectacular and wonderful resources of rocks with many from various parts of Britain and also from countries I have travelled in. There are also working 'erupting' volcano models hand made by myself that are very realistic and my other models relating to the earths structure and also glaciers. Workshops are for school classes with over 1000 schools visited plus numerous return visits.
They are also for public science events and relevant visitor centres.
All of my workshops relate to Geology and Physical Geography, linked to many science, geography and even several history topics. All workshops on offer are listed on ''Workshop Details' and 'Earth Science Venues/Events' page.
